- Alex refuses to tell others where he was born.
- Alex was initially sorted into Pomefiore when he started attending Night Raven College.
- He befriended Vil and later befriended Rook Hunt in their first year.
- During their second year, Alex requested to transfer into Ignihyde.
- After his transfer, he grew distant from Vil.
- Through the transfer process, Alex became acquainted with Ortho and Idia. Ortho pushed the two to become more friendly.
- Alex offered to run Housewarden related tasks for Idia, which ended up happening so often that Idia was pestered to appoint him as his official Vice. This way, Alex could take his place for in person events.

- Merry was born in Briar Valley. Although they don’t know much about their family history. They were born to a fae father and a human mother.
- Merry began attending Royal Sword Academy and shortly after befriended Che’Nya, their roommate.
- Che’Nya introduced them to Neige who in turn introduced them to the dwarves, which is the friend group they tend to stick with.
- Merry, not having many friends growing up, can be stiff and awkward with those around her. Still, she cherishes the friendships she has and does her best to protect her friends.
- With a lot of encouragement from their friends, Merry decided to join the fencing club at RSA. During a club tournament, she defeated the leading club president which lead to them passing the role down to them.

- [Alchemi Alchemivich Pinka] is Merry's best friend and first friend at RSA. He delights in pranking and teasing her often, because he can never get enough of how they react in comparison to their usually blank expression.
- [Neige Leblanche] is another close friend of Merry’s. Due to his fame and popularity, they have a tendency to hover around him. Merry’s protective hovering has earned them the nickname of being “Neige’s bodyguard” around school.
- [Shelpie] and [Toby] are two more friends that Merry hovers just as much around. She tries to watch them because she fears the two might accidentally hurt themselves—with Shelpie being able to fall asleep anywhere, and Toby generally being a bit clumsy.
- [Vil Schoenheit] is…acquainted with Merry. The two met at VDC, and she has been enamored by Vil ever since.
